Local Impact and Commitment
Baker Mallett’s commitment to Warrington Borough spans decades. With an office based in Warrington, we employ local people who live and work in the town. We have also been proud to call Warrington Council our Client since 2017, with our most recent commission being a multi million pound Families and Wellbeing programme, which includes the provision of accommodation for people facing homelessness in the borough.
To further support the region, we have participated in theWarrington Review Inward Investment Event, as sponsor, for the last five years. Traditionally, our sponsorship package has allowed us to include promotional items in delegate packs at a cost of approximately £250 per event for 200 guests.
Recognising this as an opportunity to create a greater impact, we collaborated with the local shelter and daytime support charity, Room at The Inn and redirected these funds to instead “purchase” five blankets, pillows, ten haircuts, and ten hours of support work for the locally displaced.
This strategic move provided immediate improvements in well-being for vulnerable individuals.
Providing Essentials
Everyone deserves a restful night’s sleep. By supplying essential items such as sleeping bags, foil blankets, bedding, and pillows, we have created a pathway to comfort for those experiencing homelessness.
These straightforward supports not only provide physical warmth but also enhance mental health, stability, and dignity—the cornerstones in helping people rebuild their lives and fostering stronger, more inclusive communities.
Promoting Dignity
Access to everyday necessities, including soap, shampoo, and personal care products, further empowers individuals to feel clean, confident, and valued.
There is undeniable psychological uplift after a warm shower or a haircut that promotes health, restores self-worth, and reaffirms the shared humanity of all community members.
This focus on hygiene complements our commitment to ensuring a dignified life for everyone, recognising that the simple act of feeling clean can lead to transformative well-being.
In addition, by securing 10 hours of keyworker support, we contribute to the continuity and quality of assistance received by those in the region, longer term.
