Hi Everyone,
The penultimate management meeting of 2025 has taken place this week and we have started to round up the year.
In terms of shut down for Christmas, we will be closing on Tuesday 23rd December – end of the working day. As we will now be closed on Christmas Eve, there will be no need for you to take it as annual leave. So if you have booked it as a holiday, please cancel it in Bright HR and enjoy an additional day off on us!
We know that most of you are busy hitting deadlines so we would like to ask you and thank you in advance for one last push before we all enjoy a well-earned break.
With regards to the ISO audit, we have taken the decision to push it back to the beginning of February so that we can make some adjustments and improvements and make sure that, come January, we are all working to the same system – consistently and efficiently. We will be communicating this separately over the coming weeks.
We will be seeing most of you on 2nd December at the Company Briefing/Christmas Get Together and are really looking forward to celebrating together. We would like to switch things up a bit this year and invite you all to ask us – well, anything! If you have any questions about the business, please submit them in advance to Natalie – they will be addressed anonymously on the day. Similarly, if you have any feedback for the leadership team, good or bad, please let Nat know!
This month’s Employee Recognition Award has been awarded to Laura. And, though we usually share reasons why privately with the award winner, we felt that the client feedback we have received about her performance at Cumbria Police deserved to be reprinted. It is, the perfect example of what it means to be “all in”. Laura, a huge well done – we are all immensely proud of you!
“Laura is leaving us soon but I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere appreciation for all the hard work Laura has put into both Fire and Police projects whilst being with us. She is a credit to Baker Mallett for all the hard work, dedication and professionalism shown while she has been with us. Her contributions have really helped me and I am happy to say she has made a significant impact on our teams success in all that has been achieved so far this year.
It has truly been my pleasure working alongside Laura who’s commitment to excellence, attention to detail and positive attitude have not only helped achieve our goals but have also helped to inspire those of us around her. Whether it was working on a Fire or a Police Project her willingness to step in and support the whole team whenever needed, her efforts have not gone unnoticed.
Thank you for your reliability, teamwork and enthusiasm, it’s colleagues like you who make our workplace enjoyable and productive. I look forward at some point continuing our collaboration and achieving even greater success together in the future”.
Neil, Stephen, Andy and Nat
