Baker Mallett were appointed by Liverpool Hope University to provide quantity surveying services on the alterations and refurbishment to the Grade II listed Cornerstone Building at their Creative Campus.

At ground floor level significant structural alterations were carried out to create a large open plan refectory space. The remaining areas entailed refurbishment and re-location of teaching spaces within the building to free up space for the new refectory area.

At first floor level circulation routes were re-configured, additional WC facilities were installed, teaching spaces were refurbished and a finishing kitchen provided to service the Great Hall.

The project was programmed to allow the most disruptive works to be carried out during University holiday periods and remaining works carried out while the building was in use.
