£25m Global Conservation Centre at Twycross Zoo
11th November 2025
We were proud to attend the topping out ceremony for the £25m Global Conservation Centre at Twycross Zoo – a landmark project that will become a world-first hub for conservation research, education, and collaboration.
As Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors, Baker Mallett has been privileged to play a key role in bringing this pioneering vision to life. The centre, due to open in 2027, will strengthen Twycross Zoo’s mission to protect endangered species and inspire future generations of scientists, students, and conservationists.
The ceremony marked the completion of the building frame – a symbolic step in the journey towards creating a facility that will house lecture theatres, laboratories, classrooms, and habitats for threatened species. It’s not just about bricks and mortar; it’s about building a bold future for wildlife and global conservation.
