Project Name: Capturing Community, Raising Money
Location: Manchester
Date: April 2025
Initiative Output: Provision of a days photography and edits contributing to a charity day that raised over £39,000
Outcomes: A change in immediate circumstances - provision of 1560 nights accommodation for families with sick children
Our Contribution
Our Managing Partner is a keen photographer and for the last two years has donated her time and skill to act as Photographer The Steve Burne Charitable Trust at an annual Ladies’ Lunch.
The event brings together supporters, local businesses, and beneficiaries to raise funds for an organisation that supports Manchester House - a Ronald McDonald accommodation for families, based at Manchester Royal Hospital inclose proximity to the Childrens Wards.
The portraits and candid shots were shared with guests, post event, boosting volunteer morale and donor recognition.
Social Value Delivered
The event raised £39,000 which equates to 1560 nights stay for families with sick children in hospital.
Monetary – £800 direct cost saving for event photography.
Social – High-impact visuals deepened emotional connection between the Trust and its supporters
Community – Enhanced visibility of the Trust’s story reinforcing their mission and strengthening local networks.
Long Term Impact
Looking ahead we plan to continue to donate this time and skill long term, to help the charity ensure their future events are captured with the same blend of professionalism and heart and contribute to raising money to provide long term support and accommodation for families with seriously ill children.
