Baker Mallett Achieves Living Wage Employer Accreditation
10th September 2025
Baker Mallett has officially joined the ranks of accredited Living Wage Employers, underscoring its commitment to fair pay and responsible business practices.
The accreditation, awarded by the Living Wage Foundation, means that every member of our staff — as well as third-party contractors regularly working with us — will receive at least the real Living Wage. This rate is independently calculated each year to reflect the actual cost of living, going beyond the government’s National Minimum and National Living Wage thresholds.
The move is expected to strengthen staff wellbeing, boost retention, and enhance the company’s reputation as an ethical employer.
Vickie Hazeldine, HR Manager for Baker Mallett said the decision was “about doing the right thing for our people” and ensuring that “everyone who contributes to our success can share in it through fair pay.”
The Living Wage Foundation praised the company’s decision, noting that such commitments play a vital role in tackling in-work poverty and setting higher standards across industries.
With this accreditation, we are not only investing in our workforce but also sending a clear message to clients, partners, and the wider sector: fair pay is a cornerstone of being a Business with Meaning.
