Baker Mallett was appointed the role of CDM Co-ordinator for the construction of the New Life Centre, in Hartlepool in Teesside by Headland Development Trust.
The project involved the construction of a two storey multi media centre providing TV and sound recording studios, dance and drama facilities, ICT suites and café areas. The building will be constructed in steel frame with rain screen and composite cladding panels and composite panels to roof. The Mechanical and Electrical Services Installation include a biomass boiler. External works include perimeter fence, soft landscaping and car park areas.
Principal construction details were steel frame on concrete pad foundations, cladding, mechanical and electrical installations, furniture and specialist media equipment.
The project commenced in July 2009 and was completed in July 2010.
