GASPORT, Pipeline Project
Baker Mallett was appointed CDM Coordinators for the Gasport, Pipeline project.
This high complexity project was spread across multi sites linking the old Shell jetty to the PX gas processing plant.
The project involved the refurbishment of the jetty, a 24” gas pipeline, an 8” nitrogen line, a 1000m horizontal directional drill under the River Tees, Sub-Terminal and metering stations, installation of a high pressure marine loading arm.
The new gas pipeline will take regasified LNG from the cargo vessel via the jetty terminal to the PX Processing Plant and National Transmission System tie in point.
The principal Contractor on this project was Murphy Pipelines Limited. The project commenced in July 2006 and was complete by January 2007.
