Extension and Alterations to St Andrew's Church

Baker Mallett was appointed to provide pre and post contract quantity surveying services on this project.
The work comprises of a new front entrance lobby and foyer extension, major alterations to the layout of the community activities and communication areas, refurbishment of the church and the two attached halls and associated alterations to the external works.
In order to start the extension, existing foundation stones in the external walls were removed and resited. Behind one of the stones was a time capsule which contained documentation dating back to 1904.
The project started on site on 29th October 2007 and was completed in June 2008.
