Construction of a Biodiesel and Glycerine Plant
Baker Mallett was appointed to act as Project Managers and Cost Consultants on the construction of a 250K tonne/annum Biodiesel plant and 25K tonne/annum glycerine plant in Teesside.
Baker Mallett was responsible for assisting the client in developing the business, which included securing funding, assisting in floatation and the liaison with creditors and technical monitors.
Teesside one, the largest plant of its kind in the UK, has taken 16 months to construct and commission and cost circa £45 million.
Baker Mallett assisted their client in the production of an early stage estimate and project programme and was responsible for the appointment of designers and contractors. Throughout the project they sought to maintain a construction programme and project cost report.
