Castle Visitor Centre
The development at the Castle involved the construction of a new single storey Visitor Centre comprising of a reception area, shop, cafeteria, WC’s and administrative offices.
Baker Mallett provided both pre and post contract traditional quantity surveying services.
The project also included the reconfiguration and re-surfacing of the existing parking area, the provision of additional landscaping and the formation of the outdoor picnic and play areas.
Investment for the project was received from the National Trust and Rural Regeneration Cumbria in order to improve on the existing limited facilities at Sizergh Castle and to allow longer opening hours than were previously available.
