Albert Park Restoration Phase 2
Baker Mallett was appointed by Middlesbrough Council to provide Quantity Surveying Services during the restoration of Albert Park, in the heart of the town.
The main features of the project were the restoration of the bandstand and fountain to their Victorian glory, together with an extensive planting programme.
The Project cost £1.5 million and was partly funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The bandstand has already won awards and has aroused a lot of interest from other local authorities considering similar schemes to refurbish parklands.
This main project commenced in September 2002 and was completed in September 2003 and this was followed with a three year maintenance contract to establish planting and renew annual bedding displays.
