Manchester Museum Courtyard Project wins ‘Manchester Sub-Regional Project of the Year’ Award.

After being shortlisted with a number of worthy projects such as School of Digital Arts, The Dean Trust Academy, Ardwick, Three New Bailey and Two New Bailey Square, Salford, Manchester Museum Courtyard Project was ultimately awarded Manchester Sub Regional Contract of the Year at the Northwest Regional Construction Awards.

This Manchester Museum Courtyard project, designed by Purcell, transforms the already diverse Manchester Museum into a multi functioning space for live, creative use with the intention to bring its visitors a more engaging experience.

Baker Mallett were appointed to provide Quantity Surveying support and later were appointed the role of Post Contract Quantity Surveyors. Working as part of a team with Purcell, Kier Group, Burofour, Buro Happold, AB Engineering and Max Fordham LLP we are proud to have delivered this standout project for our client University of Manchester.

The original Museum building was designed by Alfred Waterhouse, also Architect to the Natural History Museum, London.
