Baker Mallett were appointed as Independent Construction Auditors in November 2016 to deliver an industrial relations audit for the construction of Hinkley Point C nuclear power station, a project to construct a 3,200 MWe power station in Somerset.

This is the first new nuclear power station to be built in the UK in over 20 years and it is expected to create job opportunities for approximately 25,000 people. It is scheduled to begin operating in 2025 and is expected to meet approximately 7% of the U.K.’s electricity needs.

For the Hinkley Point C project we are providing an auditing service designed to ensure operatives are correctly paid; to provide factual information to assist the client and management groups in their task of monitoring and improving performance and industrial relations.
