BAKER MALLETT REMAIN GREEN
Baker Mallett is continuing its green credentials by providing a key role on a third Biofuels project.
Simon Carves has appointed Baker Mallett as cost consultants for the construction of a new £160million bioethanol plant at Wilton on Teesside. This follows its involvement in the construction of a biodiesel plant for Biofuels Corporation at Seal Sands, Teesside and a proposed bioethanol plant at Humberside.
On completion the plant will be Europe’s largest biorefinery, producing over 400 million litres of bioethanol, 350,000 tonnes of high protein animal feed and 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide for use in soft drinks and food production each year. Baker Mallett’s responsibility within the Simon Carves team is to oversee and manage the full spectrum of project costs associated with the EPC contract.
