Warrington & Vale Royal Construction Students Given a Grand Tour

Social Value plays a huge part in what we do here at Baker Mallett and we are always look at ways we can give something back to the local communities where we work.

A number of our projects have included us engaging with students within the local area, supporting them in their aspirations, and passing on valuable knowledge when looking to make that move into the construction industry.

We were delighted when students from Warrington and Vale Royal College were welcomed to the Bewsey & Dallam Community Hub project, a scheme for which we have provided Project Management, Quantity Surveying and CDM services via Fusion21.

Our Managing Partner Geoff Woods was on hand to give a presentation, providing the students with an insight into his role and responsibilities. A very insightful presentation was given from the delivery team of the project with fly through CGI’s whilst discussing build, materials and programme.

For many of the students this was their first time on a live site and gave them a sneak preview of how such sites are managed and run throughout the construction phase. The visit also demonstrated the many career opportunities that the construction industry offers and we look forward to further engaging with the local students again once the project reaches its completion.
